Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in a Director's Club ticket?
₱590–₱600 gets you an electronic leather recliner with full recline, a snack bundle (large popcorn + soda, iced tea, or water), and access to the private Director's Club lounge with its own restrooms. SM Aura offers a wine and cheese upgrade for around ₱750.
Which SM cinemas have Director's Club?
Metro Manila: SM Aura Premier, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia (3 halls), SM North EDSA, S Maison at Conrad Manila (all-DC venue, 3 halls), The Podium, SM Grand Central (Caloocan), and SM Marikina. Provincial: SM Seaside Cebu, SM J Mall Cebu, SM CDO Downtown (Cagayan de Oro), SM Puerto Princesa, and SM La Union (opened 2025).
How does Director's Club compare to standard SM Cinema?
Standard SM 2D: ₱390–₱450, 400–500 seats per hall, standard digital projection. Director's Club: ₱590–₱600 with food included, 16–144 recliners with butler service, RGB laser projection, and Dolby Atmos audio.
What's the difference between Director's Club and "Premium" seats?
"Premium" at SM Cinema means two different things. In IMAX halls, premium seats (₱1,000) are Director's Club-style recliners in the back rows with butler service — luxury seating plus the IMAX screen. In some renovated 2D halls (like SM Marikina), "Premium" means upgraded cushioned seats, but without full electronic recline, a private lounge, or butler service.
Can Director's Club show IMAX or 4DX movies?
No. Director's Club halls project standard 2D (occasionally 3D). They don't have IMAX-scale screens or 4DX motion systems. The exception: select IMAX halls offer "Premium" recliner seats in the back rows, which combine the IMAX screen with Director's Club-style comfort at ₱1,000.
What is S Maison at Conrad Manila?
SM Cinema's ultra-premium flagship. Unlike other SM malls that mix standard and premium halls, all three S Maison screens are Director's Club — full recliners, private lounge, butler service. Located on Level 2 of S Maison at Conrad Manila, adjacent to SM Mall of Asia.
Do Director's Club screenings sell out faster?
Yes — 16–144 seats versus 400–500 in standard halls. Blockbusters on opening weekends sell out fast. Book online at smcinema.com or through the SM Cinema app (₱30 convenience fee).
